If you arrive after dark, it will be more difficult to find your cabin. The roads and cabin areas are dark and signs are not lit. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS EXACTLY AS WRITTEN STARTING FROM BROKEN BOW. If you get lost, go back to the starting point of the directions which is 20 North Park Drive (McCurtain County National Bank).

From the South:
FROM THE INTERSECTION OF HWY 3 & 70 & 259 in Broken Bow ( also known as 20 North Park Drive) set your odometer (tripmeter) to 0. GO NORTH ON Hwy 259 – ( 7.6 MILES ). After going 7.6 miles north, our office is on the left (west) side of Hwy 259 at the Deer Creek Retreat sign. It is a RED ROOF LOG building. Watch for the CABIN RENTALS sign on the covered porch area.
From the North:
DRIVING SOUTH ON HWY 259, when you get to Hochatown you will see Frontier General Store and Abendigos Restaurant on the East side of the hwy (on the left.) Continue south for approximately 2 miles to the Broken Bow Cabin Lodging / Deer Creek Retreat Office. Landmarks to watch for are: Secluded Acres on the west side of Hwy 259, then you will go past Hwy 259a EAST (also known as the Broken Bow Lake Dam Road). Our office is .6 tenths mile past Hwy 259a EAST on the west side of Hwy 259. Watch for the DEER CREEK RETREAT lighted sign on the west side of Hwy 259. It is a RED ROOF LOG building.

From Dallas, TX:
Take 1-30 East out of the DFW area to US-259 North (Exit 178) near DeKalb.
At Idabel, take the Hwy 259 By-Pass. Continue north to Broken Bow on Hwy 259.
Or:
Take Hwy 75 North to Exit 45 which is 121 North Bonham, Texas. Hwy 56 East: through Bonham, Dobb City, Windown, Honey Grove (18miles). Merge into 82 East. Turn left at overpass to 82 East/Loop, exit Texas Farm Road 195 – right hand exit. Continue on Farm Road 195 by turning left towards Novice, Texas (12 miles). Past Novice Baptist Church, FM 195 turns right at a Texaco station. At an additional 12 miles, FM 195 turns left. Travel 8 miles towards Hwy 37 North – turn left towards Idabel. Take Junction 70 by-pass to the left. Continue on 70 by-pass to Hwy 259. Turn left on Hwy 259 North towards Broken Bow.
From Tyler, TX:
Take US-271 North to I-30 East.
Take US-259 North (Exit 178) to DeKalb
Turn left onto US-259 to Idabel.
Follow US-259 North to Broken Bow.
From Oklahoma City, OK:
Take I-40 East to Henryetta, to the Indian Nation Turnpike to Antlers.
From there, take Hwy 3 East to Broken Bow.
From Tulsa, OK:
Take Hwy-75 to Henryetta, to the Indian Nation Turnpike to Antlers.
From there, take Hwy 3 East to Broken Bow.
Check-in/Guest information
*During the Peak and Low Peak Season, early check-ins of 2 pm are allowed (when available) however they are NOT guaranteed. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent the cabin from being ready before 4 pm even when not rented the day before. During the High Peak Season early check-ins are not available. Early check-ins (2pm) are allowed ONLY when the cabin is ready. Any check-ins before 2pm will be assessed an early check-in fee.
*We do not provide Charcoal for cabins with Charcoal Grills. The type of grill at your cabin may change due to maintenance issues. Please call us if you have concerns about the type of grill at your cabin.
*We do not provide firepit firewood but we do have it for sale. 1/4 rick $35 (approximately 2' high by 4' long stack of wood), 1/2 rick $50 (approximately 4' high by 4' long stack), full rick is $100 (approximately 4' high by 8' long stack). We ask you give us a 24 hr notice when ordering firewood. The charge will be added to your guest account. Generally 1/4 rick is enough for a 2 night stay.
*Firewood is stored outside and depending on the weather could be wet when you arrive. If you are new to building an outdoor fire, we suggest purchasing firestarter logs (available at Walmart) to assist in starting your fire.
*Firepit firewood is purchased from an outside vendor. Once you place your order we contact the vendor and have it delivered. We do not refund for unused firewood or for wet firewood. |
